Dr. Nikki Martyn is the founder of The Love Lab: Child Futures Innovation PlaySpace and the visionary behind the Global Love Project. She is an award-winning educator, innovator, and global thought leader in child development, attachment, trauma, and love-informed design.
Nikki serves as Chair of Early Childhood Studies at the University of Guelph-Humber and holds an adjunct professorship at the University of Guelph. She holds a Doctorate in Education from OISE/University of Toronto in Child Psychology and Early Childhood Education and completed a postdoctoral clinical fellowship at the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre (now SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health).
She is the creator of The Love Model and The Neurorelational Love Framework, and has led numerous projects exploring how art, play, and human connection can foster resilience and shape a more compassionate future for children.
A former infant mental health specialist and founder of Mindwerx4kids Learning Centres, Nikki continues to develop innovative ways to amplify children’s voices and inspire love-informed approaches to education, leadership, and systems design.
